IAAS

Infrastructure as a service

AIMES Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) can bring real value to your organisation by removing the traditional barriers to flexibility and innovation.

Delivered using either Windows or Linux, organisations can select a cloud solution appropriate for their specific needs and requirements, allowing them to focus on their end goals rather than IT systems.

AIMES Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) enables clients to consume virtual server, storage and network infrastructure and is provided through two Secure and Resilient VMWare Platforms

  • A-Cloud an Internet facing VMWare Cloud solution
  • Health Cloud an HSCN/N3 facing VMWare Cloud solution

Both solutions are provided on enterprise class Infrastructure as a Service Platforms based on VMware vCloud technology. Cloud resources are easily controlled and managed for the rapid provision and scaling of ICT infrastructure with enterprise-class security and management capability.

AIMES A-Cloud

  • VMware cloud stack
  • Internet facing only
  • Storage performance options: Standard & Tiered

AIMES Health Cloud

  • VMware cloud stack
  • HSCN facing only
  • Governance sign-off required
  • Client support via 2FA Client VPN Service
  • Storage performance options: Standard & Tiered

Either Platform allows us to provide cloud services as shared or private cloud options.

BAAS (Back-up as a service)

AIMES offers a managed backup service on enterprise class hardware, deployed within AIMES’ fully owned and operated UK Data Centres. Each of our Data Centres is aligned to tier 3 standards, with multiple and diverse route network connections, as well as being ISO27001 and NHS IG Toolkit compliant. AIMES BaaS utilises Veeam technologies and comes as an optional extra when procuring AIMES IaaS or bespoke cloud service. Backups of Virtual Machines (VM) are taken and restored within our standard data centre, however offsite options are available upon request.
