AIMES are delighted to be the Cloud hosting provider for Isosec and their Virtual Smartcard solution, currently being rolled out nationally to NHS Trusts.
Virtualising your NHS smartcard into the cloud means you can access it using a more convenient form of authentication, like with your smartphone. Virtual Smartcard can work with your NHS issued HR card, an RFID tag or even a biometric like your thumbprint.
Tom Davidson, ICT Director at Barnsley Hospital NHS Trust said, ‘The Virtual Smartcard solution has solved a huge problem for us and has actually directly impacted our patient care. I highly recommend this technology to any NHS organisation.”
The Virtual Smartcard innovation has delivered the necessary information to clinician fingertips whilst retaining a vigilant and secure identity check for a seamless authentication process experience.
AIMES Solutions Consultant Antony Shimmin added, “More and more, we’re in the process of selling solutions that solve specific clinical or operational needs within the NHS, rather than just the underlying infrastructure. In addition to this, AIMES will provide this solution as part of our G-Cloud 10 Portfolio allowing for transparent procurement and easy in-easy-out contractual terms. AIMES ISO270001:2013, NHS IG Toolkit and Cyber Essentials accreditations and compliance makes us the ideal partner work with in this space. ISOSEC are an innovative and dynamic company with a great reputation, we look forward to being able to assist in the further uptake of the smartcard solution cross the NHS over the coming months and years”
